Immich

Immich is my self-hosted alternative to Google Photos. It runs as an app on my TrueNAS server (Lenovo M710t).

I use it to back up photos and videos from my phone. The performance is impressive, and even though it’s running on an older i5-7400, it handles all the machine learning tasks—like face recognition and object detection—entirely on its own. It’s a great example of how a repurposed machine can still pull its weight in a modern homelab.
