GnuCash

Tracking personal finance is one of those things I’ve historically been too lazy to do by hand. I needed a system that was robust and didn’t rely on syncing my data to some obscure cloud service.

GnuCash is my finance application. I use it strictly to track my personal finances. It might have a bit of a learning curve, but the double-entry accounting makes sure everything balances perfectly. It’s a very human thing to lose track of expenses, and GnuCash keeps me grounded.
